I had some leftover paint and some touch up clear coat and went to town with the US DOT amber reflectors. A teeny tiny amount of paint went past my painter’s tape and claybaring couldn’t get it off :X. Not satisfied with the quality, so I’m ordering a pair of Bimmian color matched painted reflectors soon. I know, do it once, do it right. Lesson learned. Still not bad looking though.

Isn’t it better to see if you like something first at a much cheaper cost (~free), rather than spend ~$100 and not like the result? If you like it, and you do, then you can spend the money to get the final product.
The no-reflector look suits that car well.

Great point. But if I wanted to go back to amber, I would have to sand it down and that would probably leave scratches on the reflectors.

I’ve just seen the pictures of your car with the amber reflectors. Wow those reflectors are ugly. Definitely better without them.
You had a go at painting them but hey you tried.

It probably could be polished out with some effort, but you do have a point. Using plasti-dip or similar to test wouldn’t have that issue.

Nice. I want some for our F30, but it's not worth the cash, in my opinion.
